Work responsibilities here involve: Advising on the selection and suitability of sites; conducting negotiation concerning all sites on buildings; taking accounts of surveys, taking levels and treating sites for new or existing buildings; making inspections, preparing reports or giving general advice on the condition of premises; preparing schedules of dilapidations and negotiating them on behalf of landlords or tenants for taking possession on site and preparing specification for repairs and supervising their execution.

Others involve: Making structural investigations, the limits of which shall be clearly defined and agreed in writing such as are necessary to ascertain whether or not there are defects in the walls, roofs, floors, and drains of a building which may materially affect the life and value, and carrying out works in connection with soil investigation.
